How does a motorcycle track day work?
Motorcycle track days are organized as follows:
Access to the paddock
Typically, you can access the paddock the evening before the event to position your vehicle in the paddock or to unload the motorcycles into garages if you have booked a garage spot. On the event day, the paddock reopens at around 7:00 - 7:30 am.
Check-in
Once you have parked your vehicle and motorcycle, you should go to the check-in desk with the liability release forms that you received via email before the event, already filled out and signed. This avoids long check-in lines. You will receive an envelope or wristband that identifies your group, track times, and other relevant details. If required, you will also receive a transponder.
Track day activities
If the track day is organized in sessions, track access will follow the schedule provided. Entry to the track is from the pit lane. If a session is scheduled from 9:00 to 9:20 am, for example, you should line up in the pit lane a few minutes before the session starts. Track marshals will check that you have all the required safety gear, such as a back protector, securely fastened full-face helmet, gloves, boots, and a one-piece suit. Once the pit lane light turns green, you can enter the track. The end of the session is indicated by the checkered flag.

For riders with very little experience on the track, we recommend shorter tracks under 2.5 km, where speeds are not too high and the layout is technical, encouraging riders to improve their riding skills with each session! That's why we immediately think of the Misano World Circuit or the Mugello International Circuit. These tracks are challenging, and the speeds reached with supersport or sport-touring motorcycles are truly impressive. This is why it is advisable to approach these tracks only after having several track days under your belt to fully enjoy the experience.
Let's end with a reflection on the types of track days that are ideal for beginner riders. It is certainly advisable to identify track days that are organized in sessions, where participants are divided into groups based on lap times and the type of motorcycle. How are these days structured? Participants are divided into groups based on experience and skill levels, and each group is allocated several sessions (typically 5 or 6) of 15, 20, or 25 minutes. It is essential that the first level is reserved for "Amateurs" or, even better, "Beginners". This way, riders will be on the track with participants of a similar level, maximizing safety. You can access over 60 track days annually on more than 15 national and international circuits. All motorcycle track day events are organized and promoted by various organizers on specific dates. Check the "Calendar" section for a complete list of available events.
I don't have a motorcycle to ride on the track. What can I do?
No problem! The on-track motorcycle rental by proveliberemoto.it has got you covered! In the "Motorcycle Rental" section, you can find all the motorcycles available for rent, ideal for riders of all levels. Available motorcycles include 12-inch automatic MiniGP bikes for young beginners, as well as small displacement motorcycles like the Yamaha R3 or Kawasaki 400. Then there are the Honda CBR 600 and Kawasaki 636: perfect for those who want a user-friendly bike with significant power. The range is completed with Ducati models: V2, V4, and V4R!
The rental packages always include the rental of the motorcycle, a track day, technical briefing, technical support from our staff, tires and fuel, and access to the relaxation area and buffet. For all motorcycles, except for the Ducati Panigale V2 and V4 and the Moto3, the amount paid at the time of booking also covers any DAMAGE TO THE MOTORCYCLE in the event of a fall, meaning that no deposit will be required. Once the booking is complete, all you need to do is show up on the track on the day of the selected event and have fun: we'll take care of everything.

Flags: what do they mean?
Once you are on the track, it is essential to know the flags used by track marshals and their meanings! Here they are:
Indicates a danger in a section of the track. You must slow down and do not overtake.
Indicates that the session is interrupted. Riders must slow down, not overtake, and exit the track after completing the lap.
Indicates a dangerous situation due to a reduction in track grip: pay attention.
The white flag indicates the presence of a vehicle on the track, such as an ambulance. Caution is required.
Indicates that the track is clear.
During free practice, it is used to inform a rider that a faster rider is about to overtake. Do not zigzag and maintain your trajectory.
In a race, it indicates that the rider must stop in the pit lane.
This flag informs the rider to whom it is shown that the motorcycle has technical issues that could compromise their safety or that of others. The rider must complete the lap and return to the pits. End of the session / end of the free practice session.
