The Misano World Circuit is a world-class track located a few kilometers from the cities of Rimini and Riccione. Starting from the 1991 season, the Misano circuit has hosted races of the Superbike world championship and since 2007 races of the MotoGP world championship.
From a technical point of view, the track has a remarkable variety of curves and variants, connected by straight lines that allow the achievement of high and respectable speeds.
Since 2011, the Misano circuit has been named in memory of Marco Simoncelli, an Italian motorcyclist who died that same year.
